What Is the Drapeau Center for Undergraduate Research?
Spring 2023 DCUR Eagle SPUR Grant recipient Grace Dugas and fellow dancer Tatiana Johnson working on Grace鈥檚 dance film 鈥淎nd So, My Heart Became a Void鈥 in White Sands National Park, NM. Grace鈥檚 faculty mentor is Professor Lauren Soutullo.The Drapeau Center for Undergraduate Research (DCUR) at Southern Miss supports all aspects of undergraduate research and creative activity, including community-engaged projects. Center initiatives are funded by generous contributions from its benefactor, Mr. Donald Drapeau, and from the Office of the Vice President for Research.
There are many opportunities for Southern Miss undergraduate students to get involved
in research, creative or other scholarly activities, find funding for these activities,
or share their work on campus and beyond.鈥

Donald Drapeau is a Southern Miss alumnus and a passionate advocate for undergraduate students. |
DCUR administers several programs that provide financial support for Southern Miss undergraduate students. |
